Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club is pleased to announce that Brendan “Boomer” Birmingham has been appointed as our Women’s football coach for season 2020. Boomer has a long association with Girls/Women’s football at all levels, having founded and coached Girls Auskick at Langwarrin FC in what was the only Girls Auskick group in the state at that tim e, through to more recently being the Head Coach of Cranbourne Football Club’s Women’s teams in Div 1 & 2 of the SEWFL, which saw both teams compete in finals in finals in 2019. Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club is pleased to announce that Michael Anderson has been appointed as our inaugural Under 19’s coach for season 2020. Michael has a great deal of experience in player development within local football having previously coached at Under 19 level and more recently taken our Reserves to two grand finals in two seasons including a Premiership this year. Michael is a very well-respected figure at our club and has demonstrated his passion for developing the club and fostering the growth of our young players during his time in charge of our Development Squad and we look forward to witnessing the development of our Under 19 playing list under his guidance. We are pleased to announce that Patrick Sumner has been appointed to the role of Under 19 Assistant Coach of the Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club for season 2020. Patrick coached our top age Under 17 team this year taking them to a Semi Final, in what was a fantastic result given the challenges the team faced with long term injuries and was also recognised by the league as Youth Coach of the Year. With the introduction of Under 19’s at the club for season 2020, Patrick’s appointment to the coaching team was seen as a natural progression and the role of Assistant allows him to manage work commitments, whilst continuing his involvement with our top age junior players and providing them


We are pleased to announce that Chris Lacey has been reappointed as senior coach of the Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club for season 2020. Having led our senior team to two finals campaigns in the two years since our club was established, Chris has continued to enhance his credentials as a senior coach, delivering energy, passion and direction to our young playing list and will be looking to continue to cultivate and develop the Dolphins even further in 2020. With the imminent opening of our new state of the art club rooms, we believe that the club is very well-placed as we head into season 2020 and the reappointment of Chris provides much needed stability to our young club.
