About Us

The Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club was born out of the Frankston Dolphins Junior Football Club during its 50th year anniversary in 2017. Our home ground is at Overport Park in Frankston South, gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. From our single team in 2018, we have expanded to now field seven teams - Senior Men, Senior Women, Reserves, Open Grade, Under 19's and two Netball teams.

We have had great success in our short history, winning the SFNL Div 4 Reserves Grand Final in 2019 in our second year. From our single team in 2018, we have expanded to now field seven teams - Senior Men, Senior Women, Reserves, Open Grade, Under 19's and two Netball teams.

2021 was a Covid19 affected year with no finals being playe, however our Grade B netballers and Women's football team both finished on top of their respective ladders and were awarded Minor Premiers Flags. After a number of further finals appearances across all teams, we followed up in 2023 with Senior Men, Senior Women and Reserves teams completing a Triple Treat with all taking away Grand Final Trophies. That's a great achievement is a short space of time.

Our ground at Overport Park is state of the art, with a new clubhouse, two recently refurbished ovals, night game approved lighting, female friendly facilities, plenty of parking and fantastic support from the local community.

We pride ourselves on being a family orientated club that provides a safe and friendly environment for our staff, players, friends and family and the community. We are a Gold Medal Accredited Club, having qualified under the Victorian Government's Good Sports program. Being a Gold Medal member means we have supportive, effective policies and action plans in place around: Alcohol practices, Licensing requirements, Promotion, Tobacco management, Illegal drugs, Mental health, Safe transport and Supporting junior members.

Like all clubs, we rely on Volunteers and sponsorship. We have built great ongoing relationships with local business and organisations and are proud to call Bendigo Bank Mt Eliza our Premier Partner again for 2026 and Frankston Ford our Platinum Partner. If you are interested in joinging The Pod as a volunteer or sponsor, please head to the Contact Us page and drop us a line or email secretary@fdfnc.com.au
