HISTORIC WIN FOR SENIORS IN INAUGURAL GAME

Our seniors took to the Greaves Reserve led out by Jacob Merhtens in the absence of the injured Brendan Shannon and had a scratchy start, with Dandenong scoring two quick goals and getting the jump on us.

To our boys credit, they didn’t panic and steadied to kick the next three goals to edge back in front. A couple of goals late in the quarter saw us holding a 13 point lead at the first break.

The second quarter saw us start to build a handy lead and as per our Development teams game, the boys then really turned it on in the third kicking 9 unanswered goals, with the highlight being Luke Kirkland’s mid-air soccer goal.

An equally impressive last quarter saw a further 7 goals slotted as we ran out the game strongly to record a 114 point win.

Frankston Dolphins 23-13-151 to Dandenong 5-7-37.
